Campus Safety Officer On-Call
Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, temporary, on-call.
Supervisor: Director of Campus Safety
Position Purpose: Patrols buildings and grounds, responds to emergencies and performs related duties designed to promote and ensure a safe and secure campus environment.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Safety and Security Patrol: Patrols campus premises on foot or vehicle to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Identifies and responds to potential security threats, suspicious activities, and safety hazards. Monitors access to campus buildings and facilities and ensures that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas. Directs traffic during peak hours, special events, or emergencies, ensuring smooth flow and pedestrian safety.
- Emergency Response: Responds promptly to emergency calls, provides first aid or assistance as needed, and coordinates with other emergency responders when required.
- Crime Prevention: Monitors access points, enforces campus policies, and addresses violations like trespassing, vandalism, and theft. Conducts security checks on buildings and facilities.
- Investigations: Collects evidence, interviews witnesses, and files detailed reports for further action by campus authorities or law enforcement if necessary.
- Safety Training and Awareness: Attends safety workshops, training sessions, and awareness programs related to personal safety, fire safety, and active shooter preparedness.
- Communication: Maintains clear and constant communication with other Campus Safety members, campus staff, and local law enforcement to coordinate responses to incidents effectively.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in a related field, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, or work experience. Associate’s degree in a related field of study may be substituted for work experience.
- Valid NYS drivers license.
- Current New York State Security Guard registration certification required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, walk and stand for extended periods, and climbing of stairs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
- Demonstrated conscientiousness related to safety and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to exercise exceptional judgment, ensure strict confidentiality, and demonstrate outstanding professionalism in a range of situations.

Operations Manager - Office of Residential Education & Housing
Pay Status and Classification: Non-Exempt, Regular full-time (40 hours per week)
Supervisor: Associate Director for Housing Operations
Position Purpose: Utilizing a team approach, exercising sound judgment, and exemplifying a positive attitude, the Operations Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the Residential Education (ResEd)& Housing Office, including Greek Leadership and Minerva Programs. Serves as the main receptionist and interacts with students, student staff, parents, and other campus constituencies daily. Identifies and articulates student needs and collaborates with appropriate residential staff to provide an effective institutional response. Keeps sensitive information private and confidential. Supports the Associate Director of Housing Operations with all operational tasks associated with the office. Carries out the mission of Union College and the Division of Student Affairs.
This position works on site and primarily in person. Additionally, this position may involve occasional evening and weekend responsibilities.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administration: Maintains a neat and orderly office environment, befitting a space used as a student resource center. Publishes and maintains an accurate directory of all ResEd staff. Coordinates and/or initiates calendar scheduling as requested; makes sure meeting attendees know the location or zoom link. Supports and implements logistics for ResEd programs and events (ex. catering, space reservations, set-up/tear down). Supports administrative processes such as move-in/out, residence transition periods, life & safety inspections, and roster verifications. Offers to pitch in to help colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables. Provides administrative assistance (ex. calendar management, event support) to the directors, assistant vice president, and other students affairs administrators when needed or requested.
- Customer Service: Manages day-to-day operations (ex. answering phones, managing centralized emails, scheduling, monitoring work study students) for ResEd & Housing and other offices as needed. Opens and closes the office space in line with established hours. Provides initial consultation to student walk-ins and refers as appropriate. Responds quickly to any parent emails and calls as appropriate. Updates voice/email boxes to reflect hours, any special closings, announcements. Models and encourages an inclusive culture of customer service that respects individuals of any background or identity.
- Student Staff Supervision: Works with a designated supervisor to select, train, and supervise work 3 -15 part time student employees. Accounts for and approves student hours in designated online systems. Creates an office hour schedule and ensures student coverage.
- Project Management: Maintains a secure and accurate key system (ex. auditing, logging, ordering replacements). Connects with facilities and key shop contacts on key related items. Manages campus-wide laundry program, including audits and maintenance reports for entire residential areas. Serves as the primary point of contact for the laundry company and maintenance workers. Creates updates to existing laundry programs to ensure overall student satisfaction and reliability.
- Purchasing Support:Oversees processing payments and reconciliations. Tracks spending trends and recommendations as needed to support the budgetary health of the overall program. Supports purchasing through best practices and preferred vendors. Ensures appropriate inventory of supplies and makes orders as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or two to four years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational or related environment, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to work onsite in an office setting including ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
- Extensive computer skills, such as working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel, Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google docs).

Job Summary | The Program Administrator, Sr manages activities of the Center of Excellence in Digital Game Development at RPI, also known as the Digital Gaming Hub, administered through the Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences Program in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Job Description:
Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University at Albany seeks applicants for an Asset and Scheduling Assistant to support a campus-wide project to replace all non-Windows 11 compatible computers by Fall 2025. This is a large project with a tight timeline. Faculty, staff, conference room, classroom, and research lab computers will be replaced.
The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively as a member of the project team to schedule appointments and rooms, track the availability, procurement, and receipt of computer/hardware assets; generate, edit and manage required reports; and update the asset inventory ensuring its integrity and authority for ongoing use beyond the project. They will have latitude and authority for independent decision-making and have authority to work with faculty, staff and department representatives directly and on behalf of the project. Requires knowledge of different tools/applications and how the data in each is used and related, including O365 applications (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Access, etc.), Smartsheet, and a ticket management application.
The project team members consist of the project manager, the Desktop and Mobile Computing service owner, the Field Support Group Deployment Group supervisor, and the ITS Central Business office, among others. A high degree of integrity in communications to the project team, faculty, staff and department representatives is required, including developing effective communications, and responding with regular and follow up communications to ensure the project needs and expectations are communicated to faculty, staff, and department representatives and their needs are communicated back to the project team.
All work must proceed efficiently and effectively. The work requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, ability to follow pre-defined processes and workflows accurately and the ability to work independently, and to make appropriate decisions, as part of a project team. While focus is on following established processes and workflows, they should also be prepared to identify, recommend, or implement continuous improvements to improve efficiency.
They must be able to complete work within scheduled time constraints and maintain a personal working schedule that allows work and daily responsibilities to be completed as scheduled. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills, time management and work skills and the ability to work effectively under time constraints and difficult circumstances.
This position reports to the Manager, Desktop and Mobile Computing services, but will also work closely with and respond to questions and direct the work of other members of the project team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure work proceeds without interruption, efficiently and effectively:
- Oversee, schedule, update and monitor required appointments and reservations for computer deployments to faculty, staff, classrooms, and conference rooms.
- Develop, maintain, and revise, as needed, an effective communications strategy to department contacts, their faculty and staff, ITS managers and supervisors to ensure appointments and deployments proceed efficiently and without disruptions.
- Create and maintain accurate records of machine deployments in keeping with on-going expectations for the ITS asset inventory, using appropriate tools and communication methods.
- Oversee, update, and manage all required reports, ensure accurate data is captured, updated, and confirmed through the entire decision-making and deployment processes.
- Track the availability, procurement, and receipt of computer/hardware assets, and update the ITS asset inventory and anticipate and communicate to the manager, the status of needed inventory in a timely manner to ensure work can proceed without interruption.
- Ability to work with different tools/applications, including O365 applications (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Access, etc.); Smartsheet, and a ticket management application.
- Make independent decisions and recommendations in alignment with project strategy and outcomes.
- Assist Service Owner with documenting decisions and ensuring compliance with larger ITS asset inventory expectations to ensure ongoing data integrity.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Be available to provide scheduled support and consultation outside normal business hours, including occasional evenings, holidays, or weekends, within reasonable professional obligation and expectation.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education (DOE) or by an internationally recognized accrediting organization or an associate degree and two years of full-time experience working asset or inventory management and data management.
- One year professional experience in a related field, such as inventory management, data entry, or scheduling.
- Experience creating, overseeing, and implementing an effective communications strategy to customers and decision makers.
- Experience with data management and ensuring data integrity across multiple tools/applications.
- Proficiency in O365 applications (i.e., Microsoft Office).
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, to manage multiple priorities and tasks, and to work independently and within a team structure.

Qualifications:

Associate Director for Greek Leadership

Position Purpose: Oversees and directs the operations, vision, and programs for Greek life at Union College by facilitating an environment where members of the Greek community can be challenged and supported in their personal growth, efforts, and experiences. Serves as a trusted advisor to students. Shares responsibility with other Associate Directors for residential student staff processes (such as room selection, recruitment, selection, hiring, training, and ongoing development). Carries out the mission of Union College and the Division of Student Affairs.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greek Community Development & Engagement: Creates a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive environment for Greek organizations. Manages and supervises the activities of and provides guidance to various National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities, North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities, National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) organizations as well as local/unaffiliated organizations. Coordinates recruitment/intake and the annual review processes for all student Greek letter organizations. Designs and implements leadership development programs for the Greek community, including programming in the areas of risk management, membership recruitment/intake and education; problem resolution, and community planning.
- Supervision: Supervises the Community Director for Greek Houses. Indirectly supervises Greek house managers and part-time party monitors. Guides and supports the community director and student staff community development efforts, including the implementation of curricular engagement guides and corresponding assessments.
- Student Health and Safety: Monitors and intervenes with students who may be struggling academically and/or with other behavioral and developmental issues. Refers accordingly to services as needed. Participates in regular professional staff on-call rotation, providing crisis intervention and serving as a resource or referral agent. Understands and enforces Code of Student Conduct and other policies regarding behavior, safety, security, health, and other matters in cooperation with the appropriate offices. Serves as a campus judicial hearing officer. Participates in CARE team meetings and provides culturally responsive support to students.
- Collaboration: Builds relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to advance the Greek Life program and support its mission. Works in collaboration with designated staff in College Relations to interface with fraternity and sorority alumni. Serves as the liaison to national organizations, chapter advisors, and other College departments.
- Administration: Holds regular office hours to address student and staff needs. Manages the budget for the Greek Life department, allocating resources to support programming, events, and operational expenses. Attends campus community events. Serves on college committees as assigned. Assists with administrative office duties. Offers to pitch in to help colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field and 3-5 years of student affairs experience or equivalent, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable Knowledge of residential liberal arts college administration is desirable.

Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $60,000.00 - $62,000.00. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Job Summary | The Director of the Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship (the “Severino Center”) will work with the Assistant Vice President, RPIVentures (“RPIV”) and the Vice President, Office of Strategic Alliances and Translation (“OSAT”) in shaping and advancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem at RPI and the region. Job Summary | The Administrative Specialist independently performs a variety of advanced administrative tasks, in person, for the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies (CBIS). The Specialist works closely alongside the Administrative Coordinator to perform a variety of clerical tasks to ensure the efficiency of the department's processes. Job Summary | The Economic and Industry Analyst will analyze and make recommendations for progress of the sustainable fashion industry, from farms and new materials to processing to brands and design, in New York State and in general (in the U.S. and worldwide). The Analyst will review and keep abreast of pertinent studies and research, and will seek information from industry data sources, carry out interviews and surveys, and analyze and interpret the information. The work is based at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as part of the Fashion Innovation Center (FIC). The Analyst will interact with FIC members and participants to learn about the industry, discuss sustainable fashion industry problems and potential solutions, consider ways to advance the industry in New York State, and document relevant information and findings in report, paper, and/or book form. The Analyst will also provide suggestions where relevant to innovative project participants in the FIC’s accelerator. The Analyst will work closely with the Center Director and other FIC members. |

Job Summary | The Sr. Business Manager reports to the Vice President of Information Services and Technology, and Chief Information Officer. Job Summary | The Director of Real Estate directs all activities associated with land management/leases; real estate revenue activities; building and land acquisition/sales; building and land appraisals; all Rensselaer property-related tax payments; Rensselaer tax exemption requirements; and special activities, that include leases and subleases of external facilities, fraternity/sorority land/building leases and finances; estate activities and community issues. The Director is responsible for leading real estate and economic development programs to attract diverse and innovative partners to engage on properties owned by the Institution both residential and commercial, inclusive of properties at Rensselaer Technology Park (RTP). This will comprise extensive collaboration with multiple portfolios including the Office of Strategic Alliances and Translation (OSAT), Provost, Student Life, OCEC, and Finance. The Director is responsible to develop programs to attract and maintain tenant occupants of RTP and create a self-funded real estate program. Programs that cultivate community and regional relationships and foster an exchange of ideas between community leaders, industry partners, researchers and students. The Director is responsible for all fiscal management of the RTP and real estate program including operating and capital budget development and financial controls to achieve goals. |

Job Summary | The Administrative Specialist serves as the primary point of contact in the Office of the President for visitors and callers and is responsible for ensuring that all parties receive prompt, professional and courteous attention when contacting the President’s Office. The Administrative Specialist may independently respond to inquiries, assist the visitor/caller on appropriate next steps, or direct to the appropriate person or department. In addition, the Specialist acts as the Building Coordinator for the Troy Building; is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the offices on the 3rd and 4th floors designated to the President; ensures that office supplies and equipment are inventoried and maintained; and ensures that electronic and paper records are filed and/or destroyed as appropriate. Additionally, the Administrative Specialist performs a full range of secretarial and administrative duties supporting the President’s staff.
